In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance in our roads operations and maintenance projects.Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures for roads operations and maintenance projectsConduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actionsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending preventive measuresProvide HSE training and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on siteMonitor and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to QatarDevelop and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of road maintenance activitiesCollaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and executionPrepare and present HSE performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvementManage and maintain HSE documentation, including permits, certifications, and training recordsStay updated on industry best practices and emerging HSE trends in roads operations and maintenanceQualificationsBachelor's degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related fieldNEBOSH certification or equivalent HSE qualificationMinimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in an HSE role, preferably in roads operations and maintenanceIn-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those applicable to road construction and maintenance in QatarProficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and reporting techniquesStrong understanding of construction safety and traffic management principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in MS Office suite and HSE management softwareOutstanding written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environmentWillingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as neededKnowledge of local environmental regulations in QatarFamiliarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standardsValid Qatar driving licenseAdditional Information
