About the job:
In this interesting role you will be working in our Logistics/Transport Team.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the operation of machinery, such as wheel loader to ensure safe operation.
- Operating machinery to load and unload materials from trucks or ships onto docks or as assigned locations.
- Inspecting equipment for defects or damage and making necessary repairs.
- Operating hydraulic wheel loaders to move materials such as gabbro’s, concrete blocks, waste from one location to another.
- Operating forklifts to move materials within warehouses or manufacturing plants.
- Performing physical labor such as lifting heavy objects or climbing ladders to reach high places.
- Operating cranes or forklifts to move materials as instructed by Transport Foreman.
- Operating equipment such as bulldozers or backhoes to perform construction tasks such as digging ditches or moving earth.
- Operating cranes or forklifts to move materials such as steel beams or concrete blocks from one location to another
- Load sales trucks quickly and ensure correct quantities are loaded.
- Ensure that stockpiles are cleared daily and that the work area is kept clean and clear.
- Drive loaders correctly, continuously observing all safety regulations.
- Ensure loaders are taken to workshop for servicing regularly and all faults are reported, to reduce number of breakdowns.
- Ensure customer trucks are not overloaded, in accordance with any relevant laws accruing load heights.
- Avoid safety breaches/ incidents at all costs.
About you:
For you to be successful you will need to have the following:
- High School certificate is required
- Must possess valid Qatari driving license according to Qatar transport department requirements.
- Mobile equipment license is required
- Experience with operating mobile equipment is required.
