QA/QC Inspector

a) Responsible for leading the QA/QC effort in the Contractor’s area of responsibility.

b) Must have more than 10 years’ experience in Insulation, Painting, Passive Fire Proofing/Protection and Thermally sprayed Coating Services in the Petrochemical, Petroleum Refining or Power Generation industry.

c) In which minimum 4 years’ experience in the inspection of coating and insulation systems (cold and hot) and 2 years TSA inspection or execution experience in oil refinery or petrochemical industry.

d) Preferably remaining 4 years of experience in Coating, Insulation Systems Installation in refinery plant stationary equipment, pipelines and structures. Knowledge and experience in fire proofing and structures.

e) Educational Qualification; As a minimum 3 years Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with any of below mentioned coating inspector valid certification (NACE Leve-2 / BGas Level 2/ FROSIO Level2 - must have been issued at least three years ago) and Icorr Level 2 qualification in Insulation& Fireproofing.

f) Must have a sound understanding of how a QA/QC structure with embedded lessons learnt can provide the foundations of high-quality Maintenance Execution.

g) Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELTS 6 Equivalent) and to be able to communicate with the majority manpower in their language.

h) Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.

i) He must have a sound knowledge of reading Isometric drawings, P&ID/PEFS and strictly adhere to COMPANY specification, QC procedures and Inspection test plan. Maintain daily inspection reports.

j) Must be capable of managing and executing QA/QC audits & Quality Plan.

k) Must be capable of developing and interpreting the QA/QC related procedures and guidelines and actively pursue all staff to adhere to the QA/QC standards.

l) Must be capable of training staff in QA/QC procedures.

m) Must be able to develop reporting process for QA/QC statistics, and KPIs.

n) Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and proven ability of all phases and types of coating, Insulation and TSA application and methods and recognized industry standard.

o) Inspector shall have knowledge of all international abrasive blasting equipment and airless / air spray equipment such as Clemco, Wiwa, Graco etc.

p) Inspector must be familiar with international codes, inspection and testing requirement for insulation, painting, TSA coating & Fire Proofing activities..

q) Inspector must have a sound knowledge of reading drawings and strictly adhere to COMPANY specification, method statements, QC procedures and Inspection test plan. Maintain daily reports and log of daily activities.

r) Inspector must have a sound knowledge of handling painting inspection tools, calibration, and maintain QA/QC reports and documents.

t) Preferably have experience in facilitation of Root Cause Analysis.

u) Shall coordinate with Civil Integrity Department, COMPANY Focal point for preparing and uploading Quality Dossiers to system as requested by QSGTL.

v) Must have a valid Qatari Driving license and defensive driving training, so as to be able to utilize vehicles when required.
