Qualifications
Leminar Global Distribution and Service WLL is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our LAC Qatar Service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP and Gulf experience, and will be responsible for managing the procurement process and supplier relationships.
- As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MEP systems and services.
- Your primary focus will be on managing the procurement process, from preparing purchase requisitions and orders to arranging suppliers.
- You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to understand their needs and source the right materials and services.
- Your expertise in the Gulf market will be invaluable in negotiating favorable terms and building strong supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO) for daily procurement needs.
- Source and arrange suppliers for MEP-related materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Research and evaluate potential new suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Monitor and track the delivery of purchased items, ensuring timely receipt.
- Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes with suppliers.
- Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activities to the management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in the MEP industry.
- Gulf experience is mandatory, with a strong understanding of the local market and business practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and a systematic approach to work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
