WRKFORCE is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer
- LV Switchgear in Doha, Qatar. The role is responsible for the technical design of LV switchgear and panels, ensuring compliance with IEC standards and producing accurate shop drawings for manufacturing. Success requires precise application of electrical design principles and effective coordination with manufacturing teams to ensure feasible and high-quality production. The engineer works on site at the factory in the Industrial Area, not in an office. Key Details

Salary:
7000-8000 QAR Employment: contract/full-time Duration: 2 years, renewable

Key Responsibilities
- Design LV switchgear and panels including MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB and control panels
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings for manufacturing
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant IEC standards
- Review and approve design specifications for electrical components
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve design queries
- Update design documents based on feedback from production or quality control
- Maintain accurate records of design revisions and approvals
- Assist in the selection of electrical components for panel designs
- Verify busbar configurations and wiring layouts in drawings
- Support the preparation of technical submittals for client review Requirements
- 3-7 years experience specifically in LV switchgear/panel design (MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, control panels)
- Works on site at the switchgear factory (Industrial Area, Doha), not in an office, preparing LV panel designs and shop drawings in AutoCAD for production
- Profiles mixing MV and LV switchgear, or combining design with installation and testing, are not suitable Skills Required: LV Switchgear, Panel Design, MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, Control Panels, AutoCAD, Electrical Design Software, IEC Standards, Shop Drawings, Dedicated LV-only switchgear/panel design (no MV) Preferred: Switchgear Manufacturing, Busbar Fabrication, Panel Wiring, Testing, Quality Control Reporting Structure Reports to the Engineering Manager or Technical Lead. Coordinates with the Manufacturing Team, Quality Control, Procurement, Project Management, and clients or consultants for design approval.
