Job Summary
The High Voltage Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of High Voltage (HV) electrical systems and associated equipment. The role ensures all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures, client requirements, Qatar regulations, and international electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of High Voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted electrical power supply across facilities and client assets.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and system reliability.
- Coordinate switching operations for maintenance, shutdowns, and emergencies.
- Supervise energization and de-energization of electrical systems.
- Ensure proper load balancing and system optimization.
- Coordinate emergency restoration of electrical services following outages.
- Monitor electrical demand and recommend energy optimization initiatives.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all HV electrical equipment.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with manufacturers' recommendations.
- Lead troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of High Voltage electrical systems.
- Investigate equipment failures and determine root causes.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to restore normal operations.
- Supervise replacement of faulty electrical equipment.
- Verify proper operation following repairs.
- Plan and supervise all High Voltage switching operations.
- Prepare and review switching schedules.
- Verify switching procedures before implementation.
- Ensure switching activities comply with approved operational procedures.
- Review electrical work permits.
- Ensure all electrical works are carried out under valid permits. ## Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- High Voltage Authorization/Competency Certificate.
- Electrical License in High voltage authorization
- Additional certifications in HV Switching, Protection Systems, or Power Distribution are an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of electrical maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role involving High Voltage systems.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, Power Plants, Facilities Management, or Industrial Projects.
- Experience working with HV systems up to 11kV, 33kV, or higher is preferred.
