Job Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to drive company growth and achieve revenue targets. This role involves market research, strategic planning, relationship building, and sales management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to assess potential business opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, social media, and attending industry events.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals to prospective clients or partners.
  • Sales Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure new business deals.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update a sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting future revenue.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and finance to align business development efforts with company goals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and refine business development strategies.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record in business development or sales in the local market with 10-12 years of experience.
  • Bilingual (English & Arabic)
  • Should hold a valid Residency in Qatar
  • Should have a valid Qatar Driving License
  • Strong understanding of Local Business / Industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and trends relevant to the company's products or services.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation and contract management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions and recommendations.
