A Receptionist providesreception services for Guests to contribute to an overallexceptional experience from checkin through checkout and completeaudits as required.

What will I bedoing

AsReceptionist you will provide reception services for Guests tocontribute to an overall exceptional experience from checkinthrough checkout and complete audits as required. A Receptionistcontributes to the first impressions of our Guests and thereforemust perform the following tasks to the higheststandards:

  • Achievepositive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficientmanner
  • Ensure an efficient reception experiencefor Guests including check in/out and complete audit procedures asrequired
  • Ensure that both the Front OfficeManager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of anyrelevant feedback from guests and or otherdepartments
  • Demonstrate a high level ofcustomer service at all times
  • Attendappropriate training courses when required and assist with theNight Teams training and developmentefforts
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel roomcategories room rates packages promotions and other general productknowledge necessary to perform dailyduties
  • Maximize room occupancy and useupselling techniques to promote Resort services andfacilities
  • Use the correct procedures regardingthe acceptance of foreign currencies credit cards and cash inaccordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Complywith hotel security fire regulations and all health and safetylegislation
  • Act in accordance with policies andprocedures when working with front of house equipment and propertymanagement systems
  • Follow company brandstandards
  • Assist other departments asnecessary

Receptionists serving Hilton brands arealways working on behalf of our Guests and working with other TeamMembers. To successfully fill this role you should maintain theattitude behaviours skills and values thatfollow:

  • Previous experience in acustomerfocused industry
  • Completed high schoolcertificate or equivalent
  • Positive attitude andgood communication skills
  • Commitment todelivering a high level of customerservice
  • Excellent groomingstandards
  • Ability to work on your own and aspart of a team
  • Competent level of ITproficiency

It would be advantageousin this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilitiesand distinctions:

  • Previous experiencein cash handling
