· Ensure that the merchandise is displayed attractively and customers can easily shop for what they need; manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.

· Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met; resolve health and safety, legal and security issues promptly.

· Work to create a win-win situation where customers are satisfied and have a great shopping experience in HIA. · Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues to ensure effective communication across the department.

· Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail travel industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor what competitors are doing.

· Initiate positive changes based on on-going observation to improve the business performance. · Organise special promotions, displays and events in order to maximise profits and meet the target budget. Qualifications About you The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in retail developing, managing and influencing people and the bottom line results.
  • Experience in customer facing, fast paced business.
  • Financial knowledge of Cash handling, banking and working with budgets.
  • Experience working in Middle East; international business or luxury market experience.
  • Prior experience with Duty Free or airport.
  • Operational knowledge of a Retail Environment.
  • Knowledge of the business environment in the region and ability to tap into networks to stay current
  • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • A hands-on retail operator who is flexible around the needs of a 24 hour business.
  • Proficient with MS Office, while working knowledge of other retail IT systems is must.
  • High degree of analytical and financial reports.
