NYC311 seeks a writer, editor,and content strategist to develop and maintain customer-focused,task- oriented content for the NYC311 call center and website. Theideal candidate is required to have experience with plain language,content design, usability, and content management systems. Thisresource will serve in this role until a permanent replacement isselected. The Content Associate is expected to:
Oversee content production,including strategy, standards, design, development, andmaintenance.
Write, edit, andpublish updates to all content, including daily updates, projectwork, and release work.
Workwith business and technical support teams to ensure that content isaccurate, consistent, functional, user-friendly, and efficientlymaintained across channels.
Evaluate content s effectiveness using reporting and feedback.Plan, coordinate, and implement updates as needed.
Serve as a content spokespersonand advocate both internally and externally. Work collaborativelyto develop a vision for clear, engaging, usable content. Articulatethat vision to a variety of stakeholders in meetings,presentations, and documented materials.
Set, maintain, document, andtrain on content strategy, standards, and procedures.
Update content after-hours asneeded. Please note, there will be no after-hours work for at leastthe first 6 months of the assignment. However, as we are a 24/7operation, there could be after-hours work anytime if necessary.Notice will be given when after-hours work is needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred with 2 or more years offull time technical writing and business writingexperience.
  • Three(3) writing samples will be required with the submission of thesolicitationresponse.
  • Two(2) references will be required with the submission of thesolicitationresponse
