We are currently recruiting for Head of Shared Services for QAS Cargo Management in Doha.


The role is responsible in supporting the VP QAS Cargo through effective management of all shared services within the QAS Cargo Campus, providing strategic leadership to short, mid and long-term projects and operational management of resources in compliance with corporate and industry regulatory standards.

Ensure continuous business excellence in all processes; including Quality, Safety, Security and Training functions and drive best in class IT solutions to achieve world leading air car o handling practices.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop, implement and monitor all key shared service practices by ensuring industry best practices and regulatory standards are upheld, creating a sustainable position for QAS Cargo operations to achieve best in class within air Cargo handling.
  • Lead and implement continuous service/process improvement strategy to optimize business performance and support the achievement of highest benchmark standards.
  • Drive the strategy around development, monitoring and adaptation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key support functions, aligning to all Hub operations requirements. Contribute effectively to company policies and procedures to maintain strict operational controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver a Cargo Master Operating and infrastructure plan to provide necessary capacities for future growth needs.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the framework for organizational goals, objectives and work plans to meet defined KPls and targets.
  • Develop and drive the IT roadmap with key stakeholders to enable QAS Cargo operational efficiencies and cost/time saving
  • Lead Shared Services' procurement, infrastructure, business excellence and operational planning functions, ensuring QAS Cargo operations are effectively maintained and developed.
  • Ensure supervision and control of functions within the scope of shared services in accordance with roadmaps defined by the cargo leadership team.
  • Develop, implement and monitor all key lean systems and procedures ensuring compliance with all customer requirements while supporting cost, schedule and budget requirements. Develop and produce monthly, quarterly and annual performance indicators to identify areas of improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement to all internal processes in hub operations to ensure QAS Cargo's ground handling capabilities are maintained for all airlines.

Qualifications:

  • High School / Vocational Qualification with Minimum 12 years of jobrelated experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of jobrelated experience
  • 10+ years of airline experience/air freight industry, out of which preferably a minimum of 5 years at a senior management level.
  • Experience within an airline ground handling organization.
  • Experience in deploying continuous improvement methodologies. For e.g. Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Experience in managing a large multidiverse team
