JobDescription

Reporting to theRooms Division Manager, responsibilities and essential jobfunctions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Welcome guests and assist in/out ofvehicles by opening doors in a gracious and courteous manner.Extend particular assistance to children, elderly, and speciallyabled guests
  • Inform guests of vehicle parkingprocedures, if necessary, and direct Valet Parkersaccordingly
  • Attend review of daily event sheetwith Bell Captain and be familiar with regularguests
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities,updated on activities, promotions and happenings in the hotel/cityto provide accurate information
  • Assist ValetParkers in issuing valet tickets toguests
  • Direct flow of traffic at hoteldriveways ensuring maximum safety
  • Coordinatewith security for the strict implementation of safetyprocedures
  • Handle guests' luggagepromptly and professionally, using safe handlingtechniques
  • Deputize for Bellmen when necessaryin retrieving/loading guest items from cars, busses, vans andcarts
  • Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggageand packages onto a bell cart to transport items to hotellobby
  • Ensure that all luggage is retrieved andloaded/unloaded on to/from correct vehicle with guest. Alwaysre-confirm with guests that correct number of luggage had beenloaded/unloaded before allowing the vehicle tomove
  • Respond to queriespositively
  • Follow department policies,procedures and service standards, including all safetypolicies
  • Report "Lost &Found" items
  • Perform other duties asassigned and requested
