We are looking for an agile and entrepreneurial leader with strongpeople leadership and technical capability who has a problemsolvingand analytical aptitude excellent communication and presentationskills is familiar with statistics has a business acumenindependent positive cando attitude and passion for excellence tothe workplace.

Your role and our techstack
Reporting to the founder you will beexpected to develop deploy and oversee the execution of the techstrategy product roadmap and operations to ensure alignment withour businesses goals as we grow and scale. You will play a key partin the organisations success taking the current MVP and developingit further to move the company through to early stage funding andinto profit.

Quessts is built using React.jsFrontend Backend PostgreSQL DB Amazon EC2 ApplicationHosting Amazon S3 Media Storage Service and Amazon SES EmailSending Service. You will be responsible for implementing fullstackfeatures and collaborate with other team members to plan eachsprint. Youll be working across the entire system architecture andbe responsible for designing implementing and maintaining restfulAPIs microservices and databases.

Yourkey responsibilities

• Develop improve and optimize the structure quality andextensibility of current software technologies codebases anddatabases
• Prototype ideas to quickly accessviability and iterate based on feedback from theteam
• Build robust webbased applicationsinteracting with databases filesystems andAPIs
• Write custom code or integrate opensource technologies as needed to find solutions toproblems
• Design and build effective APIs;Create servers and databases for functionality
• Design clientside and serverside architecture; Design the datamodel ensuring scalability
• Accuratelytranslate screen designs into functional frontend code; Developfeatures and with a mobile responsive design
• Write highquality extensible testable and reusable code andlibraries; Conduct code reviews and establishment of bestpractices
• Participate in planning activities;Estimate accurate stores for new features and design productfeatures
• Help define processes and build toolsas needed to scale the solution and the team
• Create and lead the product roadmap; Proactively breakdown workmanage development sprints identify risks and exploresolutions
• Test software to ensureresponsiveness and efficiency; Troubleshoot debug and upgradesoftware; Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problemsolving
• Steer the business on timescalesprioritization and costs on competing developmentrequirements
• Drive rigorous and weekly productreleases and lead required integration efforts with partners and/orthirdparty software services
• Guide thedevelopment in design architecture and platform choices with strongfocus on quality speed stability andscalability
• Identify and establish bestpractices and frameworks keeping in mind parameters of performanceresponsiveness security maintainability extensibility and reuse;Work collaboratively in a lean and agile environment; Writetechnical documentation
• Recommend andimplement new technologies improvement of existing tech and setupand futureproofing our technology that can help the companyoptimize efficiency and productivity and lead edge thinking andknowledge of innovative technologies i.e. AI ML blockchainetc..

Yourqualifications

• Minimum ofBSc in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Software Engineering or acomparable degree program
• Proven experience of25 years of fullstack development of web applications; 2 yearsbuilding frontend interfaces with & Reduxworkflows and 2 years building backend and maintaining serverapplications on PostgreSQL and designingAPIs
• Expert in traditional webdev stack (HTML5CSS3 JS); Strong in core JavaScript (ES5 ES6 ESNext TypeORM andTypescript) and JS object model
• Experiencewith Linux environments and using the shell and command lineterminals (preferred)
• Professional codingexperience in objectoriented and scripting languages; Extensiveexperience building clientside web applications usingReact
• Proficient with:
  • JavaScript Frameworks (ReactJS/NextJS/Redux) and )
  • Clientside MVC frameworks such asNodeJS React JS NextJS Redux and AngularJS; Knowledge of isomorphicReact
  • Configuration of various servers to runweb application servers databases etc.; Web server technologieslike Nginx NodeJS Apache etc.
  • Frontend CSSframeworks like Bootstrap Material UI and preprocessors like SASSand SCSS/LESS
  • Writing and integratingmiddleware; Experience with Redux Saga andThunk
  • Architecture design queries ofRelational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL and otherRDBMS)
  • Modern JS tooling (NPM Webpack BabelESLint and Prettier)
  • Developer tools such asVisual Studio Code
  • Code versioning tools andGit version control systems (Github); Containerization systems(Docker)
  • Strong in data structures XMLtechnologies JSON parsing

  • Buildingrealtime applications using Web )
  • Web and mobile push notificationsand cloud message APIs (GCM APNS OneSignaletc.)
  • Setting up cron jobs and schedule taskexecution

• Experiencewith API gateway distributed infrastructure architectures andapplications tuning/profiling; Experience working withmicroservices
• User authentication andauthorization between multiple systems servers and environments;Understanding of session management in a distributed serverenvironment
• Experience with REST API and webservice construction integration and architecture and working withremote data via REST and JSON
• Knowledge ofmodern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web TokenAuthentication and Security Technologies
• Familiarity with building secure systems (OWASP secure codingpractices or similar)
• Architect andclouddeploy applications on AWS and other cloudproviders
• Deep understanding of TestDrivenDevelopment (TDD)
• Build and manage endtoendand UI tests; Experience writing tests (unit integration functionaletc.) and using testing frameworks
• Buildthirdparty integrations like Slack Stripe Google and supportingtheir workflow
• Provision DevOps tooling withcontinuous integration; Build modern Frontend build pipelines andtools
• Contribute to API documentationincluding API description languages like Swagger; Document anddiagram functional flows and architectures
• Experience in building rich PWA applications; Experience inresponsive design cross browser compatibility and websiteperformance

• Expert level using Web Analyticstools (Google Analytics and others); Experience with open sourcesoftware development

Some desired extrasand good to have skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity malware analysis threat detection and/orsandboxing technology
• Preferably has knowledgeof working in big data (Spark Kafka Hadoop) and machine learningecosystems
• Strong background in security anddata analytics and onpremise data experience
• Experience and familiarity with:
