Yourrole and our tech stack
Reporting to thefounder you will be expected to develop deploy and oversee theexecution of the tech strategy product roadmap and operations toensure alignment with our businesses goals as we grow and scale.You will play a key part in the organisations success taking thecurrent MVP and developing it further to move the company throughto early stage funding and into profit.

Quesstsis built using Frontend Backend PostgreSQL DBAmazon EC2 Application Hosting Amazon S3 Media Storage Service andAmazon SES Email Sending Service. You will be responsible forimplementing fullstack features and collaborate with other teammembers to plan each sprint. Youll be working across the entiresystem architecture and be responsible for designing implementingand maintaining restful APIs microservices anddatabases.

Your keyresponsibilities

• Developimprove and optimize the structure quality and extensibility ofcurrent software technologies codebases anddatabases
• Prototype ideas to quickly accessviability and iterate based on feedback from theteam
• Build robust webbased applicationsinteracting with databases filesystems andAPIs
• Write custom code or integrate open sourcetechnologies as needed to find solutions toproblems
• Design and build effective APIs;Create servers and databases forfunctionality
• Design clientside and serversidearchitecture; Design the data model ensuringscalability
• Accurately translate screen designsinto functional frontend code; Develop features and with a mobileresponsive design
• Write highquality extensibletestable and reusable code and libraries; Conduct code reviews andestablishment of best practices
• Participate inplanning activities; Estimate accurate stores for new features anddesign product features
• Help define processesand build tools as needed to scale the solution and theteam
• Create and lead the product roadmap;Proactively breakdown work manage development sprints identifyrisks and explore solutions
• Test software toensure responsiveness and efficiency; Troubleshoot debug andupgrade software; Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problemsolving
• Steer the business on timescalesprioritization and costs on competing developmentrequirements
• Drive rigorous and weekly productreleases and lead required integration efforts with partners and/orthirdparty software services
• Guide thedevelopment in design architecture and platform choices with strongfocus on quality speed stability andscalability
• Identify and establish bestpractices and frameworks keeping in mind parameters of performanceresponsiveness security maintainability extensibility and reuse;Work collaboratively in a lean and agile environment; Writetechnical documentation
• Recommend and implementnew technologies improvement of existing tech and setup andfutureproofing our technology that can help the company optimizeefficiency and productivity and lead edge thinking and knowledge ofinnovative technologies i.e. AI ML blockchainetc..

Yourqualifications

• Minimumof BSc in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Software Engineering or acomparable degree program
• Proven experience of25 years of fullstack development of web applications; 2 yearsbuilding frontend interfaces with & Redux workflowsand 2 years building backend and maintaining server applications PostgreSQL and designing APIs
• Expert intraditional webdev stack (HTML5 CSS3 JS); Strong in core JavaScript(ES5 ES6 ESNext TypeORM and Typescript) and JS objectmodel
• Experience with Linux environments andusing the shell and command line terminals(preferred)
• Professional coding experience inobjectoriented and scripting languages; Extensive experiencebuilding clientside web applications usingReact
• Proficientwith:
  • JavaScript Frameworks(ReactJS/NextJS/Redux) and )
  • Clientside MVC frameworks such asNodeJS React JS NextJS Redux and AngularJS; Knowledge of isomorphicReact
  • Configuration of various servers to runweb application servers databases etc.; Web server technologieslike Nginx NodeJS Apache etc.
  • Frontend CSSframeworks like Bootstrap Material UI and preprocessors like SASSand SCSS/LESS
  • Writing and integratingmiddleware; Experience with Redux Saga andThunk
  • Architecture design queries of Relationaldatabases (PostgreSQL MySQL and otherRDBMS)
  • Modern JS tooling (NPM Webpack BabelESLint and Prettier)
  • Developer tools such asVisual Studio Code
  • Code versioning tools andGit version control systems (Github); Containerization systems(Docker)
  • Strong in data structures XMLtechnologies JSON parsing
  • Caching frameworksand mechanisms worktask queues transactions and messaging queues(Redis Memcached RabbitMQ and others)
  • Buildingrealtime applications using Web )

  • Setting up cron jobs and schedule taskexecution

• Experiencewith API gateway distributed infrastructure architectures andapplications tuning/profiling; Experience working withmicroservices
• User authentication andauthorization between multiple systems servers and environments;Understanding of session management in a distributed serverenvironment
• Experience with REST API and webservice construction integration and architecture and working withremote data via REST and JSON
• Knowledge ofmodern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web TokenAuthentication and SecurityTechnologies
• Familiarity with building securesystems (OWASP secure coding practices orsimilar)
• Architect and clouddeploy applicationson AWS and other cloud providers
• Deepunderstanding of TestDriven Development(TDD)
• Build and manage endtoend and UI tests;Experience writing tests (unit integration functional etc.) andusing testing frameworks
• Build thirdpartyintegrations like Slack Stripe Google and supporting theirworkflow
• Provision DevOps tooling withcontinuous integration; Build modern Frontend build pipelines andtools
• Contribute to API documentation includingAPI description languages like Swagger; Document and diagramfunctional flows and architectures
• Experiencein building rich PWA applications; Experience in responsive designcross browser compatibility and websiteperformance
• Understanding of how browsers andDOM work; Understanding and experience with asynchronous processingpartial page refresh DOM traversal andmanipulation
• Expert level using Web Analyticstools (Google Analytics and others); Experience with open sourcesoftware development
• Experience withlocalization and internationalization of applications (working withmultisite setups multilanguage i18netc.)

Some desiredextras and good to haveskills

• Knowledge ofcybersecurity malware analysis threat detection and/or sandboxingtechnology
