Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark.

The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Assistant Director of Sales
This position is responsible for the management and development of the sales team. Moreover, this position needs to ensure the delivery of results to achieve Waterpark budgets and revenue goals. Furthermore, it will actively promote and sell the product and services of the Waterpark.

It will focus on maintaining and developing new corporate negotiated and transient business as well as parks and events agents in the local and international markets.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the sales team in developing accounts in Waterpark segments and drive business from local and source market
  • Translate area strategies into local and regional tactical plans to drive budgeted revenue for the Waterpark
  • Ensure smooth and clear communication between the waterpark sales and hotel sales team
  • Set up all sales objectives, action plans and targets for the sales team
  • Build and establish agreed sales processes across the area to aid communication and commercial success
  • Generate and maintain major accounts and assigned segments through various sales activities (face to face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment, sight inspections, etc.)
  • Implement sales and marketing campaigns with strategic partners to ensure prime positioning of our products across the big digital players and monitor content as per our branding standards
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients and qualified potential accounts to increase the revenue and paying guests to the Waterpark
  • Understand the overall market competition, economic trends, supply and demand to implement strategies to overcome any potential threats
  • Offering constant support to B2B partners to maintain a strong engagement and spread a good word about the Waterpark offering a seamless experience to the end customers
  • Effectively and constantly update accounts, products and opportunities in CRM
  • Establish and adjust individual and group pricing to maintain sales volume and achieve targets by keeping up with the supply and demand, economic indicators and competition
  • Research and analyze different programs for all waterpark to identify new leads and accounts from all markets
  • Identify a targeted number of new account opportunities. Both locally and internationally and acquire these accounts from all key markets
  • Plan & conduct sales calls overseas in key target markets as required
  • Have a complete understanding of the waterpark monthly forecast and the come up with continuous initiatives in order to achieve it in all key segments
  • Management of the strategies relating to the sourcing, identifying and development of new business
  • Manage familiarization trips to nurture new business and highlight the unique features of our waterpark
  • Participate at relevant trade shows and networking events as required
  • Attend internal and external meetings & events as required
  • Produce production reports as required by Director of Sales & Marketing or as designated
  • Be flexible and adaptable in working in other key sales areas where necessary

Your experience and skills include:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Sales & Marketing/Business Management
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
  • Waterpark/leisure industry experience is essential
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in

Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook & Sales Force

  • Driving License
