Job Purpose Summary:
:
The incumbent is responsible forbuilding and maintaining the data infrastructure that enables dataanalysis and data science. They design, construct, test, andoptimize data pipelines, databases, data warehouses, and other datasystems.

They also ensure data quality, reliability, andperformance, through strong programming, database, and softwareengineering skills as well as knowledge of data architectures andframeworks.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities byDimensions:
:

Plan and monitor the implementation of developmentlifecycle strategies, policies, standards and guidelines fordesign, selection, development and ongoing maintenance of systemsContribute to data model deployment in test and production andcreating data workflow automation Ensure proper implementation ofstrategies policies, standards and guidelines of project managementand control to deliver the projects assigned objectives within thelimited resources, time and budget.

Implement test plans andscripts standards. Monitor and recommend solutions to cater for theuser business requirements and provide the most adequate systems toresolve these requirements.

Carry out any projects or assignment asassigned by Data Scientist or Data Analysis Participate proactivelyin any new projects that require deployment or during theacquisition of new tool/technology required by the Group and followup on the progress of ongoing projects.

Implement and ensurereadiness of all data tools or software required by data scientistteam to assist them in building analytics models.

Implement andensure all quarries and data set are provided on time and withquality to Data Analysis team to assist them in their analyticsImplement automated processes and data monitoring techniques toensure data quality, ensuring production data is accurate andavailable for key stakeholders Ensure all dev/test environmentsetup and configuration are delivered on time with quality.

Recommend live operations of the systems or retirement of thesystem with the Group s IT architecture based on business objectiveand strategy.

Ensure compliance and adherence to existing standardsand policies by all the Data Development staff and follow the mostrecent control objectives and best practices.

Implement tasksaccording to the prioritization based on the overall business plansand other factors of limitation and urgencies. Ensure theenforcement of segregation of critical role as Developer andTester, as well adherence to all data governance and qualityguidelines.

Education & Experience Requirements:
:
Universitygraduate preferably with a Major in in computer science, datascience, software engineering, information systems, or relatedquantitative field. At least 8 years of relevant experience,preferably within a Data Engineer role. Experience building andoptimizing data pipelines, architectures, data sets and all itsunderlying environments. Excellent oral and written communicationskills (including report writing) in English and Arabic. ExcellentCoding knowledge, Python, Golang, Ruby, Perl, Scala, Java, SAS, R,MATLAB, C, and C++, etc. Excellent Data Warehouse solutionstechnical knowledge, such as Panoply or Redshift. Excellent OSadministrative knowledge, MS, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, etc. Excellentdatabase and relational database related administrative knowledge,MySQL, Oracle, SQL, Etc.

Experience with data pipeline and workflowmanagement tools (ETL, Airflow, etc.) and big data tools (Hadoop,Spark, Kafka, etc.) Ability to make decisions and follow throughwith initiatives.
