FP7 McCann ranked #1 in the world for Effectiveness, is looking for a Strategy Director to join its family in Qatar.


We're looking for someone who is creative, curious and passionate; someone with a deep interest in making work that connects to culture.


The job is broad - you'll be discovering new truths, inspiring daring creativity, developing break-through thinking and contributing to the agency's growth.

You'll be working on leading global brands as well as regional brands, so you must have deep experience of the region.


Main responsibilities

  • Establish a meaningful relationship with clients, becoming their goto person for anything related to strategy.
  • Be a transformative lead strategist. You will set the agenda, lead, develop and shape all the strategies for your clients delivering commercial and creative effectiveness.
  • You will ensure all agency partners, suppliers and clients are fully aligned with your thinking and there is consistency across briefs and projects.
  • Be connected to local culture across MENA, gathering and sharing discoveries that can ensure all your creative thinking is aligned with culture.
  • Be insightled in all your work, seeking out interesting truths using a mix of inhouse tools, external research agencies and simply being present alongside consumers.
  • Craft inspiring creative briefs and briefing sessions, and support others in developing theirs.
  • Create innovative connections plans that enable meaningful moments between brands and audiences.
  • Champion daring creativity and breakthrough thinking at all times.
  • Collaborate with multiple agency and client partners in building out your thinking.
  • Prepare, facilitate and analyse workshops and brainstorming sessions, as well as supporting others with theirs.
  • Use your curiosity to identify and share creative possibilities that can inspire proactive ideas across your clients.
  • Drive thoughtleadership across the agency and the wider community.
  • Lend a hand on new business pitches.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 10 years strategy experience (agency, client orin house).
  • Ideally degreeeducated, but not a deal breaker.
  • A generalist that is comfortable working across multiple disciplines and channels.
  • Experience of working with high profile projects and demanding timelines.
  • A strong and articulate pointofview on commerce, culture and creativity.
  • An excellent understanding of communication theories.
  • An inspiring and influential communicator.
  • A team player that brings passion, positive energy and ambition to the department.
  • Exceptionally high standards.
  • Work with clients on crafting marketing strategies
