Works closely with head chef in a kitchen setting to support and assist in the preparation of meals

Below are some responsibilities:

Pastry Preparation:
help with the preparation of pastry dough, batters, and fillings.

Measure and weigh ingredients accurately, mix and knead dough, and prepare various components such as creams, mixers, and fruit fillings.


Baking and Pastry Production:
Assist in the baking and production of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods. This includes operating baking equipment, monitoring baking times and temperatures, and ensuring that the finished products meet quality standards.

Dessert Assembly and Decoration:
Participate in the assembly and decoration of desserts.

Help in filling and layering cakes, piping creams and frostings, garnishing pastries with fruits or chocolate, and adding decorative elements to enhance the visual appeal.


Recipe Management:
follow recipes provided by the head chef or other senior kitchen staff, ensuring accuracy in measurements and techniques. Will be responsible for scaling recipes up or down based on the number of servings needed.

Inventory and Stock Management:

Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels of ingredients, notifying the chef of any shortages, and participating in inventory counts.

They may also assist in placing orders and receiving deliveries.

Cleaning and Sanitation:
Participate in cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and care of kitchen equipment, such as knives, pots, pans, and appliances. This includes cleaning, sharpening knives, and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Collaboration and Communication:

Able to effectively communicate with other staff members and follow instructions, ask questions when needed, and provide assistance as required.

Adherence to Safety and

Food Handling Standards:
Must comply with all safety and food handling regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment. This includes proper food storage, labeling, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

QAR2, QAR5,000.00 per month
