We are looking for an Insurance Coordinator to assist the patients with insurance benfits and communicates with insurance companies regarding their claims.

Also having close contacts with patients to resolve financial challenges and maintaining a healthy aging accounts receivable.

In addition to those duties, you will be involved in several other tasks related to the management accurate records of their financial transactions.


Responsibilities:

  • Insurance coordinator will work as coordinator for the insurance companies and insurance patients to obtain the maximum advantage of their insurance policies.
  • Responsible for all insurance preapproval request inpatient and out patient.
  • Study each insurance companies policies and implement the same for most advantage of the patients and hospitals.
  • Carefully examine the initial approvals,patients policy and doctors prescriptions are matching to avoid any rejections.
  • Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy.
  • Sending and checking approvals for doctor request to Health Insurance.
  • Make Sure the copays and payments for each insurance company and the cashier collected are the same.
  • Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals complete other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Updates job Knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- reading professional publications.

  • Study the reasons for claims rejections and resubmit the same with all necessary documents.
  • Determines covered medical insurance losses by studying provisions of policy or certificate,documents medical claims actions by completing forms, reports,logs and records.
  • Submits weekly & monthly claims to the insurance companies and keep good relationship with all insurance companies.
  • Follows up with all insurance companies for the release of payments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 year's of relevant experience.
  • Advanced Capability in using Excel and accounting packages will be a plus.
