We are looking for Project Cost Controllerfor one of our clients with the following details: Start Date :01-JUL-2024 End Date : 30-JUN-2026 Location: Doha DOHA onshore -Monthly log allowance (SINGLE status)

Qualifications &Experience Required:

  • Minimum Qualifications - Degree inEconomics are equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience - Minimum 5years' experience in similar activities for oil &gas projects.
  • Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical)- Advanced knowledge & experience in use of relevantcomputer systems (SAP, BW, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, PowerQuery, Power BI).
  • Fluency in English. JobResponsibilities
  • To promote & comply withapplicable safety instruction and other Company HSE procedures inall activities.
  • To carry out work in compliance withCompany values and policies, relevant laws, and regulations, agreedCompany priorities and objectives, Company standards and proceduresand good industry practices.
  • To treat all informationobtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
  • The Job holder must be willing to participate in crisis responsetraining and to assist during emergency response situations ifrequired

Budget:

  • To prepare for review dedicated yearlyand LOP forecasts data for the package.
  • To prepare forreview the detailed annual budget and updates in liaison withvarious internal entities and disciplines leads.
  • Toparticipate in the presentation and to defend the budgetperformance as required.
  • To control budget availabilityfor each commitment.
  • To ensure budget control,highlighting current trends and to justify variances betweenForecast and Budget.
  • To establish register, to update,monitor and control the commitments, expenditure incurred andforecast for all contracts and purchase orders managed by MajorProjects.
  • To perform specific Cost Analysis.
  • To provide input to the PALM (SAP) system, with regard tocommitments, payment schedules, invoicing, time sheets and costcontrol issues, as required.
  • Liaise with the CompanyFinance entity to ensure that G&A and other common costsare charged fairly to the Major Project budgets

Closure:

  • To prepare the monthly closure and make sure accrualsdone in PALM system are in accordance with current project(s)progress.
  • To prepare all necessary documents asnecessary for compliance regarding accruals

Cost reporting:

  • To issue a detailed internal and external monthly costreport (Trends, Areas of Concern, Budget Variance analysis,Commitment/Expenditure figures, forecast at completion etc.) withcomments and advise Project/Package Management on cost over-runs ina timely manner.
  • To ensure correct and auditable recordsof all matters with Project expenditures, contracts, budgets, cashflows, forecasts, etc.
  • To supervise the contractors andsuppliers cost control activities.
  • To deliver monthlycash forecasts for the perimeter

Invoicing:

  • Toimplement an efficient invoicing process and comprehensive controlof the services to company.
  • To check and monitorinvoices, in liaison with company accounting department to enabletimely payment of invoices

Organization:

  • To develop,communicate and implement procedures to ensure the efficientorganization and operation of the Project budget and cost controlactivities.
  • To advise, during project setup post award,contractors on key commercial requirements (invoicing format andsubmission, cost reporting etc.).
  • To anticipateadditional requirement for cost control support during execution ofthe project(s)

General:

  • To promote cost consciousnesswithin the entity.
  • To ensure confidentially is beingkept as per sensitive data.
  • To liaise with internal andexternal auditors for cost justification.
  • To prepare therequired cost recovery related documentation.
  • To liaiseactively with Company Finance entity for all matters related tocost and accounting as required (Commitments, invoice processingand payment, accruals, payment claims and disputes.).
