Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Develop the department's strategy, goals, initiatives, and plans, whilst providing advice, guidance, and direction to subordinates during the execution of major plans and initiatives.
  • Lead the operations of the department, participate in establishing a clear direction for others, and champion alignment and collaboration amongst them and any other key stakeholders.
  • Develop the department's annual budget, including all financial and staff requirements and monitor / control budget expenditure accordingly.
  • Monitor the short- and long-term operations of the function, driving operational improvement initiatives based on identified operational performance and gaps.
  • Develop and maintain the department's guidelines, policies and processes and champion their implementation across, where applicable.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the department's employees, and champion the company's culture, values, and behaviors across the department.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage MEEZA's service portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with MEEZA's overall business objectives and customer needs.
  • Define and maintain a comprehensive service catalog, including detailed descriptions of services, pricing structures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with the Service Strategy and Service Design departments to identify new service offerings and enhancements to existing services based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the service portfolio to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for optimization, and make recommendations for portfolio adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service portfolio performance, including revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and service quality, and take appropriate actions to drive improvements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies and models for different service offerings, ensuring they are competitive, profitable, and aligned with market trends.
  • Manage the entire service / product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future services by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to clients and prospects.
  • Manage cost model including service / product profit and loss and set pricing that meets with corporate financial targets.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new service offerings, including pricing, positioning, and messaging, to drive customer adoption and revenue growth.
  • Analyze potential partner/supplier relationships for existing and developing services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the service portfolio team, including setting performance expectations, coaching and mentoring, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent; master's degree is preferred.

Experience

  • 12-16 years of experience in technology services or a similar field; 8+ years in a managerial role.

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on building a culture of collaboration and development.
  • Advanced product management skills, including product roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and pricing strategy development.
  • Excellent market research and analysis skills to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Demonstrated success in the conceptualization, development and launching of IT services.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies including data centers, WAN/ LAN networks, server technologies, applications, and enterprise management systems.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills including managing product/service P/L and associated cost models.
