Outside Sales

THE ROLE:


Develop and manage a customer portfolio in accordance with Agency Business Plan Management; Sell products and services related to it, while promoting Group image and values.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop new & existing businesses to achieve additional volumes, revenues, and increased market share

 Respond to quotation requests and follow up on quotations with the goal of converting them into bookings.

 Handle negotiations with both customers and trade managers and properly file the rates.

 Maintain a weekly target of 9 sales visits.

 Follow up on confirmed bookings to ensure a smooth shipping experience for customers.

 Follow up with origin offices so that space and equipment are released & optimum routing is offered for FOB bookings.

 Send sales leads to various origin offices to secure CIF bookings.

 Promote sale of VAS, cross sell, and intermodal services.

 Contribute to analyzing market opportunities and identifying potential new customers.

 Acquire up to date information of the market, including understanding of different commodities, actors, and competition.

 Assist the manager in developing local differentiators and formulate a business plan to support the target delivery.

 Ensures that the various sales systems and reporting are up to date for management tracking, analysis, and planning.

 Performs full detailed follow up tasks in coordination with other departments and handles the necessary communication whenever needed.

 Provides complete and accurate reports to management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE:

Must have a university degree (+4/5 years) in International Trade, Logistics, or Transport

3-5 years minimum experience in a shipping business development position.


Proactive, perfectly fluent in English, French or Arabic speaking is a plus, with a very good command of Office and computer tools.

Influential and have good interpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in the position.

Strong knowledge of industry trends, competition, and market.

Excellent negotiation and Pricing skills.
