Job Description:

An InternationalSchool in Qatar that follows the British Curriculum is looking fora candidate qualified to be a Head of Secondary School.

They willbe responsible for liaising with teachers in the SECONDARY SchoolDepartment and for curriculum development for the program. Need tohave experience in teaching Secondary grade levels and experienceas a Head of Secondary School. Develop lesson plans and themes inline with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning byestablishing a relationship with students and organizing learningresources and the classroom environment. Meeting with teachers,counsellors and administrators to resolve any possible behaviouralor academic problem.

Must also establish clear objectives for alllessons, and projects and attend staff meetings Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Education or a Secondary TeachingSubject from a recognized University (From the UK preferred as theBritish Curriculum is used)
  • Master Degree in EducationalLeadership or similar
  • TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THEFOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (due to Visarestrictions)
  • Must have excellent English communicationskills
  • Must have excellent classroom management skillsand able to deal effectively with student behaviour issuesExperience:
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience atSecondary grade levels (In the UK preferred) · Minimum 3years experience as HEAD of SECONDARY or in a similar role
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able towork in a continuously changing environment

CONTRACT DETAILS:

Doha,

Qatar Monthly Salary Range:
Competitive TAX FREEMonthly salary QAR 20, ,000 depending on qualifications andexperience Housing: FREE Furnished accommodation according tomarital status & number of dependents relocating OR aHousing Allowance given between QAR 5,500 and 8,500 monthly,depending on marital status and number of dependents Health

Insurance Coverage:
Medical insurance for employee and 1 dependent

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return air fare for employee and 1dependent Leave: In addition to official holidays, paid leave isallocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law.

Minimum 30 work days per year Dependent School Fees: 100% discountfor 1 child attending same school as employee Visa and Medical

Fees will be paid for employees only.

Employee isresponsible for fees for dependents End of Service Benefit:
Gratuity of 21 days of basic salary for each month worked as perQatar Labor law
