Head of Secondary - Girls, August 2024

We are in need of a dedicated, qualified, and experienced Head of Secondary - Girls. The perfect candidate will possess an innovative, forward-thinking approach along with a solid pastoral background.

Doha Academy offers a British-based education that includes the essential requirements of the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education for students aged 3 – 18. The school's Vision and Mission aim to provide an exceptional, accessible, and inclusive education rooted in the teachings of Islam, fostering the holistic development of students.

Following the successful Qatar National Schools Accreditation process in February 2022 and NEASC accreditation in October 2022, the enrollment at Doha Academy has increased significantly. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in environments where English is a second language. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Secondary - Girls will have a crucial role in the overall school development, necessitating close collaboration with the Head of Secondary, Deputy Principal, and Principal of the Doha Academy group of schools.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree, PGCE or B.Ed., and QTS, with at least two to three years of experience in a senior leadership and management position. Additionally, possessing an NPQH or a higher-level education degree in a related field is desirable, along with a solid grasp of the National Curriculum for England's Key Stage 3 – 5.
