Primary purpose of job
Responsible for performing research and development of innovative new solutions, identifying strategic partnerships that

delivers business value by creating Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and Proof-of-Value (PoV) of new/existing technologies.

Experience & Skills:

  • Should have experience and exposure in executing the emerging technology initiatives and projects for QatarEnergy,
including identifying technology, finding new areas of opportunity where QatarEnergy has not explored/implemented, and

providing thought leadership on proof of concepts, pilots, new use cases and RFP responses.

  • Stay abreast of key trends that shape industries and markets and capitalize on emerging business opportunities to
develop commercially viable products and services.

  • Should have handson experience in conduction the ongoing research and analysis to identify key market trends, leading
practices, and solutions supported/ enabled by emerging technologies.

  • Good experience and exposure in conducting PoC / PoV to identify potential solutions to tackle the business pain points.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis and develops initial prototypes.
  • Proven ability to support business cases through approval workflows and complete handover to the product development
team.

  • Proven and handson experience in performing the business value realization by translating the business objectives and
pains into a strategic innovation plan by leveraging existing and new tech in the market.

  • Perform technical writing, and presentations on specific innovations and emerging technologies.
  • Should have strong ability to understand and work with new developing technologies as ML (Machine Learning), AI
(Artificial Learning) e.g., chatGPT, VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), graphics engines such as unity, 3D

technologies etc.

  • Ability to learn, develop prototypes and leverage new emerging technologies to create value for the company.
  • Ability to write development prototypes using modern languages such as, C#, Python, web development languages, PHP
