Overview:

As a Restaurant Waiter/Waitress, you will be an essential part of our front-of-house team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive dining experience for our guests.

Your role is to assist patrons with their dining needs, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

With your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, you will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our restaurant.


Responsibilities:

Guest Service and Order Taking:

  • Welcome guests warmly and guide them through the dining experience.
  • Assist guests in selecting menu items, answering questions about dishes, and providing recommendations.
  • Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders and ensure timely submission to the kitchen.

Food and Beverage Service:

  • Deliver orders to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to quality standards.
  • Serve food and beverages in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and promptly attend to requests during the meal.

Table Setting and Maintenance:

  • Set up and prepare tables before guests arrive, ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of dining areas, including tableware, glassware, and cutlery.
  • Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.

Cash Handling and Billing:

  • Present checks to guests and process payments accurately using the restaurant's billing system.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions with honesty and integrity.
  • Provide guests with receipts and thank them for their visit.

Guest Interaction and Satisfaction:

  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by being attentive and responsive to their needs throughout the dining experience.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and report them to the supervisor or manager as needed.

Collaborative Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant staff, including kitchen personnel and fellow servers, to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or a similar customer service role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Positive attitude, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm and courteous during busy periods.
  • Flexibility to work during peak business hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
