As Corporate Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the short to medium-term schedules, working on day-to-day functions, projects and ad-hoc tasks across Corporate Planning (CP). Manage and support any analysis to enhance profitability and deliver key KPI's as part of the scheduling team.

Ensure teams perform sound analytical functions that will support informed decision-making within the department. Formulate and deliver recommendations to the management and rest of the business.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and/or provide recommendations to maximize or enhance profitability by optimizing the allocation of capacity throughout the network based on the interactions with the commercial and operational departments.
  • Monitor and review existing performance and identify ways to further enhance or improve operating results.
  • Assist the manager in creation of Annual Budget operating plan and provide updates to the plan. Ensure that Corporate Planning developed QR short- and long-term plans are analyzed and implemented efficiently while ensuring optimal aircraft utilization and passenger connectivity.
  • Support the management of the Qatar Airways slot portfolio which includes maintaining historical slots and identifying opportunities to further enhance the slot portfolio.
  • Manage development of QR short- and medium-term schedules which includes optimizing the commercial schedule and designing an operationally robust schedule to deliver strong on-time performance.
  • Provide management with reports on key KPIs i.e. asks/Block hours/Utilization/Fleet development/Capacity changes etc.
  • Manage seasonal and ad-hoc landing approvals for all QR destinations.
  • Create a detailed reporting and monitoring system as a prerequisite for the proper steering and management of the assigned partnerships.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in commercial aviation economics, strategic planning and business management.
  • Project and contract management experience.
  • Previous Corporate Planning experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a focus area within CP (Network planning, fleet, alliances, scheduling etc.).
  • Experience in Transportation and or related roles.
