About the role

We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant Luxury Boutique. You will be responsible for maximizing sales in assigned Luxury Boutiques at every available opportunity while ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service. You will ensure that the Boutique is fully merchandised according to the Brand layout and Visual Merchandising standards to maximize the selling opportunity. You will embrace and follow the Brand experience during all interactions and handle high-value merchandise while ensuring that all Security policies are followed as per high-value stock handling process.

Key accountabilities include:

  1. Maximize sales in assigned Luxury Boutiques at every possible opportunity while ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service.
  2. Ensure that the boutique is fully merchandised according to the Brand layout and visual merchandising standards to maximize the selling opportunity.
  3. Embrace and follow the Brand experience during all interactions.
  4. Handle high-value merchandise and ensure all Security policies are followed as per high-value stock handling process.
  5. Deliver a personalized and elevated experience with commercial success while representing the brand in an elegant and hospitable way.
  6. Build long-term relationships with customers to maximize return customers through consistent service excellence and provide exceptional after-sales service as per luxury Brand guidelines.
  7. Acknowledge and approach customers, establishing their needs by asking open-ended questions.
  8. Ensure the complete, full range of stock is on display at all times as per the Brand guidelines.
  9. Maintain standards of the Brand by keeping the merchandise and surrounding area clean and tidy.
  10. Ensure the merchandise is displayed to the highest Visual Merchandising (VM) standards as per the Brand guidelines.
  11. Maintain the highest level of accuracy when checking and counting high-value items.
  12. Maintain the highest level of inventory control on a daily basis.
  13. Ensure the highest level of precision during quarterly stock takes.
  14. Ensure the highest level of confidentiality with regards to all company documentation, information, and statistics.
  15. Ensure that a high degree of security on stock and cash prevails at all times.
  16. Process customers' transactions efficiently and present the receipts at all times to customers.
  17. Handle money, Traveler's Cheques, Credit Cards, and any other form of payment in a safe, secure, and responsible manner.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's degree or relevant Vocational, Tertiary, or Trade qualification.
  2. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or minimum 3 years of work experience.
  3. Previous Retail and Customer Service experience.
  4. Demonstrate excellence in selling, styling, and wardrobing skills.
  5. Effective English communication – both written and spoken.
  6. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proactive approach to selling.
  8. Follow personal hygiene and grooming standards as set out by QDF and the Brand.
  9. Behave in a polite and professional manner while on duty.
