Job Description

Main Responsibilities of Chief Communications Director (CCD):

Reporting to the General Manager/CEO, you will work closely with the Regional MD, country GMs, CD, CCO and CSO on MUSE'S new business and existing clients, specifically across Marketing and Communications.

You are responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of MUSE's Communications strategies, programmes, campaigns, and activations for not only MUSE but also new business proposals and existing clients.

You are responsible for MUSE's Communications offering – including strategy, senior counsel, team development and hiring, and assisting the CCO and RMD with new business pitches and business development.

You are a senior member of the leadership team and should share best practices, ways of working, and processes with the teams, in coordination with the Regional MD and offices GMs.

You must focus on improving client retention and ensure that PR new business proposals are of the highest standard.

Key Roles & Responsibility:

MarComms Management & Strategy:

  • Building and delivering strong strategies, messaging, and deliverables
  • Delivering Communication workshops and client engagements
  • Formulating and delivering expert client counsel
  • Drafting of documents and processes
  • Developing award-winning communication initiatives, case studies and entering them for awards.
  • Supervising the quality of all work and managing and developing team members
  • Growth of MUSE by acquiring new clients in new sectors and established sectors
  • Leading, developing and scaling MUSE teams
  • Supporting the CEO, Regional MD and CCO in the management, monitoring and reporting of any Communications clients or prospects.
  • Reporting progress, success and challenges to the Regional MD and CEO.
  • Coordinating with the MUSE leadership team on New Business and Business Development
  • Leading the compilation and delivery of tender responses from a technical perspective.
  • Delivering and supporting on the sales objectives with the Regional MD, CEO and CCO collaborating with the wider team, driving growth, and achieving targets
  • Ensuring we have a strong capability across the teams and offices
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring communications trends

Your Objectives:

Qualifications:

  • B.A/B.S or higher in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, or related relevant fields
  • Over 8 years of experience in a similar role and ideally with agency experience
  • Proven track record in Marketing and Communications
  • Arabic speaker will be preferred.
  • Experience in all forms of marketing and communication including strategy, PR/communications, digital, social media, marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
