To enhance collaboration between QSTP and the local and international academic institutions and establish partnerships that benefit both QSTP and the academic community.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions to establish partnerships and collaborations that benefit both QSTP and the academic community.
  2. Identify opportunities for joint research projects between companies in QSTP and academic researchers, facilitating connections, and promoting collaboration.
  3. Facilitate the transfer of technology and knowledge between academic institutions and companies in QSTP, helping to commercialize research outcomes.
  4. Plan and coordinate events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and networking sessions to bring together academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  5. Provide support to academic researchers and students who are interested in starting their own businesses or commercializing their research within the science park environment.
  6. Act as a liaison between QSTP and academic stakeholders, including faculty members, research centers, technology transfer offices, and university administration.
  7. Keep abreast of the latest trends in academia and industry to identify potential areas of collaboration and innovation opportunities that can benefit QSTP and its stakeholders.
  8. Track the progress of academic collaborations, assess the impact of these partnerships on the QSTP's ecosystem, and provide reports to management on the effectiveness of academic relations activities.
  9. Work with academic institutions to identify and support talent development initiatives such as internships, co-op programs, and student placements within companies in QSTP to foster the growth of a skilled workforce.
  10. Promote QSTP as a hub for innovation and collaboration by showcasing success stories, research achievements, and partnerships with academic institutions through various channels such as social media and press releases.
  11. Continuously seek feedback from academic and industry partners to identify areas for improvement, refine strategies for collaboration, and enhance the overall effectiveness of academic relations initiatives in QSTP.
  12. Contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of cross-functional projects as assigned by QSTP senior management by actively engaging with team members across departments, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and resource management. Apply innovative problem-solving methods to address challenges, continuously improving project processes while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain regular communication with both line and project managers to provide timely updates on project progress and outcomes, and continuously enhance personal skills and knowledge to drive the success of these initiatives.
  13. Other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of working experience in a relevant field such as in academic relations, technology transfer, research collaboration, business development, science, or engineering.
  2. Strong understanding of the academic research environment, technology transfer processes, innovation ecosystems, intellectual property rights, and funding mechanisms for research and development.
  3. Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions to drive innovation and growth.
  4. Strong passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions. Ability to think creatively, take calculated risks, and adapt to changing market dynamics in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to network effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders in academia and industry.
  6. Able to analyze data, assess the impact of academic collaborations, and identify areas for improvement for measuring the effectiveness of academic relations activities and making data-driven decisions.
  7. Strong willingness to embrace changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and respond to evolving needs and opportunities in the academic and industry landscape.
  8. Proven interest in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer between academia and industry would be an advantage.
  9. Multi-tasking and the ability to work on different projects at the same time.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
