Employee Relations Specialist ProfileHuman Capital Directorate Unit invites applications for the position of Employee Relations Specialist reporting to the Manager, Talent Management. The Successful Candidate will:
- Develop and implement employee relation policies, processes, and frameworks in alignment with HC Strategy and UDST objectives to support positive, productive working relationships between management and employees.
- Act as HC Business Partner having regular interactive sessions with Business Units and work on setting priorities, driving values, and delivering business results.
- Contribute to the development of employee relations strategies including policies, programs, and procedures.
- Establish and maintain UDST's employee performance management framework.
- Act as a focal point of contact with the business units to understand business processes, needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Be responsible for regular operations of time and attendance management.
- Act as a coach for employees and business unit managers in finding solutions to day-to-day employee issues.
- Consult with and support Business Unit Head on the interpretation of employee relations policies and procedures.
- Participate in the progressive discipline process including investigating, advising managers, and preparing documentation.
- Assist in conducting workplace investigations involving harassment and employee misconduct.
- Develop and implement conflict and alternative dispute resolution strategies.
- Recommend and provide guidance on disciplinary issues.
- Monitor non-academic staff compliance with relevant policies related to grievance and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and deliver training and information sessions on employee relations topics.
- Review and respond to queries based on employee relations policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Recommend Manager, Talent Management on rewards and recognition programs.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, employee relations, or related field.
Language
- Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred.
