Job Description

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor with expertise in piping for our Fabrication Yard working on offshore modules. If you have a strong background in piping and fabrication within the oil and gas sector, this is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and supervise the activities of the foremen and his crew on the project.
  2. Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality and Ethics policy and attached roles and responsibilities.
  3. Set and apply standards of SAFETY, ETHICS and QUALITY to comply with procedures and take actions where Procedures and policy are not met and rectify/report immediately.
  4. Communicate fluently with Crew, Foremen, Superintendent and all others with whom he liaises.
  5. Read and understand drawings, dimensional survey, project specifications and procedures and take the correct remedial actions (Wherever Applicable).
  6. Conversant with the specific standards applicable to the project / area of work.
  7. To be capable of looking four weeks ahead in planning of work for the project utilize the project current plan for planning for future work.
  8. Provide his Foremen with drawings and information required to do the work efficiently, productively and safely.
  9. Interface with the production engineer / field engineers to ensure material is available for the planned work.
  10. Ensure proper tools and equipment are available and they are utilized efficiently, productively and safely.
  11. Utilizes the overall project / area plan(s), milestone dates, yard layouts and construction drawings to understand the overall view of the project and or his area of responsibility.
  12. Have an overall view and understanding of the project completion including but not limited to construction methodology, fab sequence and milestone dates.
  13. Forecast resources required for the planned work ahead (Manpower, Equipment, etc.).
  14. Set targets of production for each of those directly reporting to him, targets for Foremen.
  15. Communicate supports services in the yard, rigging, scaffolding, warehouse, facility, QC & NDT.
  16. Provide written instruction where necessary to those directly reporting to him.
  17. Drive the team to achieve progress, productivity, safety and quality.
  18. Know and understand the estimated man-hours on the work packs, maintain man-hours booking within estimate and provide weekly progress to production engineers. Take actions where standards and targets are not met.
  19. Where necessary refer quality / progress/ productivity issue to his superintendent and provide recommendation for improvement.
  20. Address any issue of poor quality/ productivity and take action where appropriate.
  21. Report area of poor performance and provide recommendation for improvement. Provide accurate feedback to Superintendent.
  22. Ensure CIR (Computer Input Request) submitted and RFI (Request for Inspection) are raised on timely manner.
  23. Conduct TBT with crew, conduct safety walkthrough and address any issue of safety, check HIT process.
  24. Review TRA with his foremen when require and ensure it is discussed with his crew.
  25. Maintain good housekeeping on his work area. Promote BBSM process and be responsible for his team's safety.
  26. Lead by example and make sure company policies and procedures are followed.
  27. Promote implementation of QHSES initiatives and drive achieving objectives.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  1. 10 years in Offshore Construction.
  2. High School Diploma Level.
  3. Exposure to a multidiscipline work environment.
  4. Must understand governing code requirements and be able to interpret and apply project specifications.
