We are working with a national operator to source a Construction Supervisor (E, I&T). This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis. Please see details below.

Job Details

Title: Construction Supervisor (E, I&T)
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar Site/Doha Onshore
Working Schedule: 5 days per week / 8-9 hours per day or as per project requirements.

Experience RequiredKey Job Accountabilities
  • Supervise the EPIC Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site.
  • Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions, etc.
  • Co-ordinate mobilization of contractors on site.
  • Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required.
  • Carry out daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications.
  • Handle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities including site investigations and site surveys.
  • Supervise and manage installation of Earthing and Lightning Protection works.
  • Supervise installation of Lighting and Small Power works. Manage and supervise cable tray installation and Fire Alarm System cable laying and termination works.
  • Co-ordinate finalizing Cable entries, cable routes, cable diversions, etc.
  • Manage and supervise Instrument Control & Power Cable laying and termination works.
  • Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.
  • Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels and Mimic Panels.
  • Supervise installation of Control junction boxes and Panels.
  • Good knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.
  • Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm & Loss prevention system works, Building Services works, etc.
  • Cable termination and Loop checking.
  • Witness SAT pre-commissioning activities for equipment.
  • Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Report work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
  • Sign work permits on behalf of client and ensure contractor's compliance with work permits.
  • Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation.
  • Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to handover to client by contractor, paying special attention to all EHV equipment including Quality checks.
  • Work closely with other client Construction Supervisors (Mech / Arch).
  • Report to client Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing client safety standards on the work site.
  • Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality-related matters.
  • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety-related matters.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 10 to 15 years overall E&I experience in Construction of offshore topside structures/modules/living quarters for oil and gas industries.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate with internal and external departments, agencies, contractors and vendors.
