Practice Area Profile

BCG's Public Sector practice helps governments and agencies in their efforts to maximize public-policy outcomes. Our work with government clients offers unique opportunities to shape the future of the public sector across the world. We work with some of the most senior and influential people in government all over the world. The global Public Sector Practice was established in September 2009, so it is one of BCG's newest and fastest growing practices. Although the Public Sector is an industry practice area, our value proposition to public sector clients draws deeply on capabilities right across our functional practices, such as organization, corporate development and privatization, operations, and digital business models. We also work closely with other industry practices, such as energy, health care, or consumer.

What You'll Do

As a Project Leader within BCG's Public Sector Practice, you will act as a key topic expert of our practice working alongside some of the world's top minds in government. You will collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds, advising our clients on a variety of topics. While contributing to client cases, workshops, and proposals, you will travel to serve our Public Sector clients onsite during staffing assignments to understand our client requirements and develop solutions.

You will lead project teams comprised of consultants and associate consultants, enabling them to find the right approach, motivating them to deliver on time and achieve long-term impact for our clients, as well as support our growth targets for the Public Sector topics. The focus of this role will be on 1) bringing expert-level credibility to our cases and business development opportunities; and 2) continuing to build our Public Sector practice.

You will drive client interactions ensuring constructive collaboration with our stakeholders, advising them on key strategic business issues, producing leading-edge operating models, and addressing specific problems and opportunities. You will also play a key role in high-level client relationships and act as a content lead for proposals and other business development activities.

  • Excellent written and spoken English (Arabic would be desirable, but not essential)
