Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Carer with nursing background to provide care to residents in Nursing and care homes in the UK.

This role is based in care homes across the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day duties could include:

  1. Provide a range of care needs such as advanced dementia, Parkinson's, palliative care, etc.
  2. Assist the residents with all aspects of their personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, etc.)
  3. Support the residents with the usage of aids and personal equipment
  4. Manage the residents' medication and complete their medication records
  5. Monitor vital signs of the residents as required
  6. Provide companionship and support in the residents' activities
  7. Develop and lead activities for the residents
  8. Keep the families of the residents up to date about the progress of their relative
  9. Keep daily logs of activities, observations, and direct hours of service; maintain these logs
  10. Participate in orientation, company training, and meetings with co-workers
  11. Work with a team of carers to ensure the residents' safety and well-being
  12. Maintain skills at a current level and undertake training and development as required from time to time
  13. Report any problems to the management staff
  14. Promote best practices in all aspects of the care delivery
  15. Comply with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  1. GNM/ANM/Diploma/BSc/MSc in Nursing or relevant healthcare qualification
  2. IELTS for UK VI with an overall score greater than 5 or UK NARIC (only if you have a degree or higher degree)
  3. Minimum 1 year of Nursing or healthcare work experience
  4. Genuine interest in caring for people
  5. No criminal records
  6. Good references
  7. Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  8. Excellent verbal communication skills
