Job Responsibilities

Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
Regularly monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, and alerting the IT manager if any issues need to be looked into and resolved.
Talking staff/colleagues through a series of actions either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Independently troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
Replacing parts as required.
Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
Setting up new users accounts and profiles, computer systems, network devices, etc. and dealing with password issues.
Responding to call-outs in a timely manner and following through till the task is completed.
Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers.
Testing and evaluating new technology.
Scheduling and conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment from time to time.
Assisting the IT Manager in finding and proposing local suppliers and vendors for IT equipment and solutions.
Study and ensure the organization's IT policy is being strictly adhered to.

Minimum Requirements

BSc in Computer Engineering.
Candidate should hold Microsoft certification.
2 years of relevant experience in the same field.
With prior Qatar experience is mandatory.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software maintenance.
Knowledge of virus protection and security software.
Knowledge of operating systems.
Knowledge of system back-up and recovery.
In-depth knowledge of all in-house software systems.
