About the role:

Job Type: Full-time.

Location: Successful candidate must be a resident of Doha-Qatar or Abu Dhabi-United Arab Emirates.

The Technical Analyst will join our team to provide users with outstanding technical support and training for our products, including StarSteer. The ideal candidate should have a passion for providing technical demos and training for our clients. We are looking for a client-focused individual who works well in a fast-paced environment and has a technical background in the geosciences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical sales & workflow presentations to clients (online and in person).
  • Onsite support and multi-day training with clients, with some travel required.
  • Customer technical support (phone, email), including possible calls during evenings and weekends.
  • Support our sales team with engaging technical demonstrations.
  • Track client bugs and new feature requests.
  • Other tasks related to the above.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability with StarSteer geosteering software.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling operations and operations geology workflows.
  • Geologic knowledge of a variety of North American plays and play types.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken; experience creating and delivering presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google Docs.

Additional beneficial experience:

  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with geoscience software (Petrel, Kingdom, GeoGraphix, etc.).
  • Computer science and/or IT troubleshooting experience.
  • Customer service experience.
