The purpose of this role is to support thesuccessful delivery ofBAE Systems contractual Trainingresponsibilities across the TyphoonAvailability Service Operationat Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), in Qatar.The role is responsiblefor monitoring and reporting againstcontractual trainingperformance and assisting with the establishment of Project Controlprocedures, methods andsystems, ensuring their appropriateapplication.Theincumbent will be required to gather, synthesise& integrate information relating toperformance (cost,resources and outputs), monitor and report progress againstplans,identify trends, analyse and interpret data and information toensureall data and information is accurate, generate and publishregular reports,including contract review packs, withrecommendations to senior managers.The role also oversee highpriority orspecial projects as directed; responsible for providinganalysis, guidance anddirection within areas of expertise. Thisposition will anticipate escalateand solve management and businessproblems independently.Core Activity andResponsibilitiesContractedTraining Delivery: Define anddelivercontracted training solutions, whilst maximising operationalefficiencyand minimising costs; Co-ordinate,control and report alltraining pipeline progression and performance indicators/metrics tomonitor BAE Systems contractual training performance; Act as thekeyinterface with Qatari customer for all contractual trainingrequirements anddeliverables; Ensure that the coordinatedtrainingprogramme aligns to the customer BFP/R (GFx) Manpowercommitments to supportoperational delivery. Co-ordinate andcontrolof contractual scope change requirements; Ensure thatallstakeholders, in particular the customer community, areappropriately briefedand understand the contractual trainingservice; Support to theAccountable Training Manager in ensuringcompliance to the QAF Aviation Regulations; Provide PM support totheTyphoon Training Facility (TTF) Operation; Manage andreportcompliance to mandated Aircraft Maintenance Training and BAESystemsOperational Framework requirements.ProjectManagement& Control: Consolidate andsynthesise complex programmeinformation from both internal and externalstakeholders, including,but not limited to:o Responsible for theproject management of theDukhan AFB Operation, delivering all on-basereporting and controlof costs;o Prepare inputs for theContract Status Reports (CSR);oReview and ratify riskand opportunity provisions;o Generate andmaintainintegrated programme schedules;o Support reviewsincludingbut not limited to PDRs, QCRs, QBRs, risk & opportunity,ChangeControl Boards, Business Operations and customerPRMs;Additionalresponsibilities / Activities: Internal andexternalmeeting coordination and Customer Relationship management Ensurecompliance with the mandated BAESystems Governance Framework,including, but not limited to; Life Cycle Management(LCM), BusinessContinuity Management (BCM) Incident Management (IM),Gifts& Hospitality (G&H), Responsible DocumentRecord Management (RDRM),Export Control, SHE, et al.RequirementsFunctional Knowledge & Experience: Experienced andin-depthProject Management & Control knowledge and techniques inanOperational Aircraft Maintenance training environment ispreferred; High level ofMS Office knowledge and application;ProgrammeReporting experience; Understandingand appreciation ofoperating in a customer-focused organisation in the MiddleEast;Commercial andContractual Awareness; PurchasingProcess and Exportcontrol awareness; Contract StatusReporting (CSRs).BusinessExpertise: Understandingand appreciation of each function operatingwithin an aircraft maintenanceoperational Availability Service andmandated training requirements; Appreciation ofProject Managementpractises, managing cost, time and quality; Understandingofcontract management; Roles typicallyrequire a university degree, oran extensive amount of practical knowledgegained throughexperience; Proficientlevel of English, written &verbal.Problem Solving: High problemsolving competencies requiredto address complex issues around aircraftoperations andmaintenance; Ability torecognise and escalate issues in a timelymanner.Nature of Impact: Contractual &Business performance- by influencing decisions through advice and counsel;Companyreputation and growth of business - through theeffectiveness of its ProjectManagement practices.Area of Impact:Impacts indirectlyon the Internal Business Plan achievement for theline of business or project,having responsibility for aspects ofProject Management processes.Interpersonal Skills: Diplomacyskillsrequired in order to work across business boundaries to achieveoptimumsolutions; Participation innegotiations and influenceoperational managers, primarily internally at alllevels; Abilitytoinfluence customers and motivate localteam
