POSITIONSUMMARY:

TheCommercial Pricing Manager is responsible for the analysis andoversight of the pricing reporting & analysis process. Thisincludes a strong partnership with the commercial, operations,supply chain and finance functional groups to determine the optimalscenarios to go to market with product. This position will act asthe gatekeeper of all pricing on new and existing products and willpresent recommendations on competitivepricing.

MAINPOSITIONRESPONSIBILITIES:


  • UnderstandPurchase Price Index (PPI) and Price Adjustment Formula (PAF)mechanisms and determine best course of action when preparingannualincreases/adjustments
  • Provideregular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting formanagement.
  • Workwith Commercial Leadership to develop and implement product pricestrategies including segment strategies for the various markets andchannels.
  • Reviewand make recommendations on existingpricing.
  • Preparemulti-year cost/pricing models to include labor, materials,subcontracts, and travel and write descriptive pricingvolumes.
  • Requiresan understanding of indirect cost pools, forward pricingprojections, bid multiplier rate analysis etc. Align costindex/escalations to PAFmechanism.
  • Analyzepricing strategies and review contracts to fully understandexecution ofagreements.
  • Establisha system of documentation, communication and review of internal andexternal comparative price data, including wins and loses due toprice.
  • Performpricing analysis to support key business initiatives asrequired.
  • Coordinatewith Commercial Business Analyst to perform monthly analysis ofexisting transactional level data to identify price/margin erosionand assist sales, operations and supply chain/planning teams inconstructing and implementingsolutions.
  • Takeinitiative in identifying and resolving issues aroundpricing.

EMPLOYEEQUALIFICATIONS:

Requiresa bachelors degree and 5-10 years of experience in finance,pricing, commercial or other relatedareas.

PreferredMBA

Proficientin Microsoft Officeproducts.

Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills and attention todetail.
