**About your Job**:
We are looking for a Technical Architect who will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing and managing SAN Storage technology architecture. Responsibility of the role includes capacity planning, availability planning, and service fulfillment to meet the business needs of Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries worldwide. You will be responsible for designing the SAN and Storage infrastructure, and maintaining it proactively through continuous and effective monitoring and management for high performance and availability. You will participate in designing, implementing, and managing advanced SAN Storage systems, and performing service-fulfillment functions based on business and operational requirements. You will be involved in technology specific improvement initiatives for the QR Group liaising with Information System team, and in line with IT standards. You will be responsible to continuously monitor, review, and improve processes and systems to meet growing demands of business, and to go beyond traditional technologies to meet the business requirements in line with corporate policies.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent technical, time management and communication skills as you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver results on deadlines.

**Key accountabilities include**:
- Ensure that SAN and Storage systems at Qatar Airways are designed and fully maintained to the highest level of operational capabilities, and the implementation, configuration and tuning has been done to gain maximum benefit out of the chosen technology.- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure of SAN, and Storage systems, and perform regular reviews and improvements on processes and procedures to meet operational, business and compliance requirements.- Ensure timely rollout of projects, software and hardware upgrades including firmware upgrades to meet business, availability, performance and compliance requirements.- Create and maintain capacity, utilization, performance and uptime reports for SAN Storage systems, and present them internally and to the management.- Stay up to date with technology trends, and work on improvements and technology refresh initiatives.- Minimize negative impacts on business due to incidents, and perform efficient root cause analysis, and implement adequate measures to avoid recurrence of incidents

Qualifications

**About you**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent- Expert in SAN, and Storage technologies - minimum of 7 years’ job-related experience required- Experienced in migrating IT services across data centers, including data migration across storage systems- Expert in IBM Storage systems including Storage Virtualization or comparable technology.- Expert in administering Brocade SAN Directors, SAN Switches or comparable technology, and FCIP routers- Having problem solving, investigation skills and ability to work under pressure- Capable to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment.- Capable to exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations
