Our experienced, and highly committed team are dedicated to delivering our services on time and within budget, either as a standalone service or as part of an integrated team with our clients' existing commercial and construction/project management.

**The role**:
We are expanding our team in Qatar and are looking for a Senior Consultant experienced in forensic planning and delay analysis in construction and engineering projects.

The role of Senior Consultant will require involvement in one of multiple claims and expert commissions and present an excellent opportunity for knowledge development and gaining practical experience in both fields within a leading global consultancy.

**The key duties will involve (but not be limited to)**:
**Technical Delivery**
- Reviewing and analysing factual circumstances of delays, establishing cause and effect and evaluating contractual liability and entitlement.
- Reviewing and analysing contemporaneous project records, including baseline programmes, monthly programme updates and as-built programmes, for the purpose of claims and delays analysis.
- Performing delay analysis, identifying, and establishing critical and near critical paths, assessing the extent of excusable and/or compensable delays, and producing written reports of findings and recommendations.
- Assist by drafting coherent correspondence and/or narratives for submission to clients.
- Share knowledge and provide skills support to team members.
- Objectively identify and select appropriate methodologies for claim preparation / analysis.
- Objectively deliver advice to clients on the basic elements of contracts/ claims or Delay
- Manage the technical work output of a delivery team/ or as part of a larger team depending on the commission including any work on Project Services related commissions.
- Prepare or defend claims with limited support and confidently present findings to the client.
- Draft discreet sections of reports with limited supervision.
- Prepare bi-weekly progress reports for team leader/commission manager if necessary.
- Acquire appropriate onsite experience.
- Assist in managing fee collection if requested to.
- Manage commission expenditure.

**Participate in B.D. activities/promoting Driver Trett’s business**
- Participate in/ deliver BD/ Marketing initiatives across the region if requested to.

**Revenue Generation**
- Revenue Generation in line with targets set by management.

**Personal Development**
- Attend internal workshops to broaden technical, business, commercial experience, lessons learned experience.

**Experience required**:

- Highly experienced in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project or similar software.
- Have a solid understanding and working experience of various prospective and retrospective delay analysis methods.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to forensically review large data sets relating to claims and disputes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English (fluency in Arabic is desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Analytical, investigative, problem-solving approach to work.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East, or for global claims consultancies, is highly desirable but not essential.
- Background in estimating/cost management, planning experience or project management with leading international consultancies or contractors.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead as role dictates.
- Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible attitude to working and able to travel and work outside of Qatar for short periods (if required).

**Qualifications required**:

- Degree qualified in engineering, construction or related discipline.
- Membership of a relevant construction professional body.
- Commence MSC in construction law and Arbitration or other construction legal qualification if working in the disputes business stream.
