**Quality Assurance**:

- Implement and monitor the company’s preventative Quality Assurance and Regulatory Program at Milk Specialties Global facilities according to established policies and procedures. Work with local plant management teams to improve follow up and establish a preventative QA culture where QA is acting as the facility champion for Food Safety and Product Quality.
- Assure that new & existing products and processes operate in compliance to regulatory requirements, Specifications, QMS and other operating programs. Reacts to deviations and implements appropriate corrective actions. Including, but not limited to: Regulatory & Customer requirements

Specifications (Raw Materials and Finished Product)
Process Control (Weight Control, Particulate Control, etc.)
HACCP/HARPC/Food Safety Plan
Environmental Monitoring Plan
Allergen Program
Quality Management Systems
GMP’s
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of required certifications for current and new products. This includes, but is not limited to, USDA Organic, EU Dairy, Non-GMO Project, Kosher, SQF, FSMA, and Halal.
- Manage all food safety, product safety, regulatory and product quality issues at the facility with significant issues managed in collaboration with the VP of FS, QA & Regulatory Affairs and Sr. Director of Operations Quality (i.e. Business Disruptions, shortages or product out of the plant’s control)
- Assure new equipment and processes meet sanitary design requirements.
- Lead plant efforts to reduce Customer Complaints
- Develop & maintain a self-assessment program to insure the plant is meeting all corporate and customer requirements. Performs self-audits / inspections to assure ongoing compliance (Stay ready don’t get ready)

Assures passing audit scores (Internal, SQF, Regulatory & customer). Provides on-site support when needed.
Flawless coordination of regulatory inspections
Assure Customer requirements are known and in compliance
- Drive plant quality culture
- Assure all plant employees understand their quality & food safety responsibilities
- Conduct at least one in plant quality culture training sessions per year (all plants / all shifts / all employees)
- Identify and implement best practices
- Lead QA Goal Setting for the facilities and coordinate plant quality improvement efforts
- Maintain Quality Metrics including, but not limited to: First Pass Quality / Saleable Product

- Remain current on emerging matters relating to production methods, formulations, analytical techniques and federal regulations as they relate to the Company’s products. Make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
- Develop and assist in training quality assurance teams and production personnel (Technical, Managerial, and Leadership Skills)
- Assure quality group operates in a safe manner and follows all company human safety requirements.
- Travel as needed to on-site MSG-owned to conduct audits, assist in quality program development and troubleshoot persistent issues.
- Complete special projects as assigned in a timely manner, reporting all data and observations via a trip report to senior MSG leadership.

**Position Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Biology, Chemistry or Related Field
- Master’s degree or Equivalent preferred
- 10+ years previous Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the dairy industry and in manufacturing quality at a plant and corporate level.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Previous supervisory and auditing experience.
- Certification(s) in HACCP, GFSI, ASQ, SQF Practitioner, Appendix N, and/or PCQI is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills; including MS Office Suite.
- Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to track short and long-term projects, work independently and balance multiple priorities.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential position attributes.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with a customer orientation (internal & external)
- Travel required up to 40%
