BUTLER/ PA- Qatar

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of etiquette and protocol, always being a respectful and professional representative of the Principal
- Supervising/guiding other staff at the Principal’s household
- General butler duties such as setting tables, serving at the table, taking care of the humidor and cigar inventory
- Waiting at the table
- Taking care of the Principal’s wardrobe
- Wardrobe management, inventory and organisation
- Providing fashion/style advice, well versed in gentleman’s fashion, design and brands
- Styling of the house, lighting arrangements and moods ( picture lights and evening lighting times and dimming)
- Valeting
- Follow up with orders and deliveries, packing and unpacking cases, traditional day-to-day Butler duties
- Being responsible for the spotless presentation of the Principal’s surroundings and personal effects
- Some PA duties might be asked such as organising reservations/bookings etc. - travel and social arrangements
- Organise and manage lunch & dinner parties
- Support in event planning, invites & guest list management
- Gift sourcing & wrapping
- Preparing and serving tea and coffee for meetings and other functions
- Coffee and cigar advice and storage
- Meeting and greeting of guests
- Liaise between the Principal and other employees and third parties to satisfy the wishes or needs of the Principal
- To immediately learn (from observation or inquiry, as appropriate) all household and personal needs of the Principals, and to then anticipate, obtain, and conduct timely, thoughtful, discreet and delivery of any such needed items or services
- Ability to read the mood of the Principal and adapt accordingly
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Reporting directly to the Principal and his personal assistant
- Experience in working for UHNW families/ individuals in private homes, villas and luxury hotels
- Previous (long-term) experience in a similar role, preferred experience working at top luxury resorts and leading hotels of the world (such as Aman resorts or Mandarin hotels)
- Energetic, but know when to be discreet
- Strong initiative, showing commitment
- Intuitive and highly organised
- Loyal, patient, flexible
- Be able to forward plan and think ahead at all times and see to the Principal’s every need
- Have excellent communication skills
- Sense for the latest high-end fashion (mínimalist, discreet fashion)
- Provide styling advice and prepare outfits for travel
- Able to order fashion items and develop relationships with international fashion brands
- Make things happen in limited time or information
- Excellent English
- Sound technology knowledge (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV savvy)
- A passion for details, making sure all the necessary tasks are done to the highest of standards
- Hands-on, calm, organised, flexible and hard-working with a passion for excellence
- Discreet, respectful and diplomatic
- Immaculately presented, sophisticated and be an experienced “right-hand person”
- Impeccable valeting skills
- Coffee and cigar expertise
- Experienced in delivering a thoughtful, discreet and unobtrusive service

Accommodation is provided in a shared apartment.

The role is 6 days per week and is 25,000 AED per month or 65,000 GBP per year.

Relocation provided.
