Job Responsibilities:
- Recipe Development: Design and develop new chocolate and confectionery recipes, adapting to market trends and customer preferences.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency in flavour, appearance, and texture of chocolate products, meeting established quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, including ordering materials as necessary.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers, providing information about products and answering questions.
- Packaging and Presentation: Design and oversee packaging and product presentation to enhance visual appeal and brand consistency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other culinary staff, as well as the marketing and sales teams, to align production with seasonal trends and sales strategies.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or relevant certification in pastry or confectionary is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of working experience in similar role or as pastry chef with focus on chocolate work.
- Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, moulding, and decorating techniques; creative flair for new recipe development.
- Able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and occasional customer interaction.
- Preferably with valid Qatar Driving License
