At Brioche and Baguette we work together in a modern, warm and friendly atmosphere to produce a variety of quality products. The primary goal of the opening position is to maintain high product standards that contribute to the overall guest experience and build memorable team bonds through teamwork.
We are looking for **Pastry chef de partie** (French pastry) that embody the following:
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail and a drive for excellence to ensure we maintain the highest of standards on a consistent basis
- Professional appearance and the ability to consistently arrive on time
- Prepare a variety of recipes to spec each day, focusing on quality and consistency. Our baked goods require a high level of care.
- Potential daily creations include**:Creation, decoration, and presentation of wide variety of cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, etc. Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings, artistic creations.**:
- Strong communication with the team to ensure we are all keeping the kitchen clean, organized and in the best working condition
- Perform station opening/closing and side work duties for each shift, always checking out with the manager on duty

- Demonstrate leadership by displaying job expertise, flexibility, positive attitude, initiative, organization, communication skills, and enthusiasm.
- Understand and embody the Brioche & Baguette brand Qualified Pastry Chefs must be detail oriented, enthusiastic, and have a great attitude.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
- Accountable for overall success of the daily pastry operations.
- Exhibits creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas.
- Creation, decoration, and presentation of wide variety of cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, etc. Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings, etc.
- Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
- Supervises all pastry areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.
**Skills**
- Experience as a **Pastry chef de partie**:
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as Pastry Chef de partie
- Great attention to detail and creativity
- Organizing and leadership skills
- Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field.
- 4 years+ of experience.
