**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ardent Eagle Solutions (AES) is seeking a Lebanese Linguist and Cultural Advisor (CULAD) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a large program. This position is located in Qatar. The Lebanese Linguist/CULAD will provide continuous monitoring, expert analysis, and assessment of global, regional, and tailored area geopolitical media and news sources. The position is an unaccompanied one-year assignment that can be extended by the customer and if elected by the individual chosen to provide support.
- To gather information on trends, behaviors, events and directed global developments to generate media synopsis reports and assessments of local geopolitics and foreign media discourse
- Provide expert advice to DoD/MIL leadership of social media influence operations, draft policy, doctrine, decisions, trends concepts, and studies.
- Produce predictive recommendations and identify anticipated strategic communications opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and support communications plans
- Monitor industry and technology trends in traditional, digital, social, mobile media
- Use directed, or design research methods appropriate to pre-defined client criteria
- Interpret and analyze oral and written source material such as classified reports, data, briefings, and conversations.
- Provide cultural expertise in written or oral form in both native Lebanese Arabic and US English
- Analyze data for coded patterns of information

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- **Must possess a bachelor’s degree and at least of 8-10 years of experience or a master’s degree and 6-8 years of Experience (Will accept 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree)**:

- 5 years of experience as a researcher monitoring media and providing analysis of trends, political events, and geopolitical impacts
- Must be of Lebanese heritage who speaks/reads/writes Arabic with a Lebanese/Levantine dialect.
- Must have experience with Lebanese target audience (males 18-36 years old) pop culture and associated social media technology.
- Understanding of the religious differences; Shia and Sunni Muslim and understanding the Lebanese Hezbollah organization social and political activities
- Previous experience with US Military forces in a direct supporting role to MISO/IO/IW/IRCs
- Minimum of 5 years working or living within the CCMD AOR
- A minimum of passing 4/4/4 testing scores both in English and Lebanese Arabic
- Superior Lebanese Arabic reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Ability to provide high quality presentations and work with small and large groups
- Have an in depth understanding of the cultural differences, nuances, customs, symbolism, mannerisms, and traditions of the various ethnic groups residing throughout the Middle East
- Excellent oral, written and electronic communication in English
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a current and Active DoD TS with SCI eligibility
- Must possess a valid US Passport, not expiring within 6 months
- Must be fully eligible for Qatar Visa
- Must be willing and able to deploy and abide by required COVID quarantine requirements

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Recent Native Cultural Experience - Lebanese native
- Experience with Information Operations
- Broad Experience as a media monitor/researcher for the Dod

This position is located in Doha, Qatar at Al Udeid AB
