QU pioneered in Qatar by developing institution wide Innovation & Entrepreneurship strategy 2018-2023 which led to the creation of one of the most comprehensive end to end innovation and economic development University ecosystems in the Middle East and North African region, which is currently composed of the Office of Strategic Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (SIEED) and Qatar University Holding Company (QU Holding).

Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity for highly motivated PostDoc to work on high impact R&D project with significant global potential or reach. In addition to working on a project of global impact, the PostDoc fellow will have valuable opportunities to immerse in the emerging QU innovation & entrepreneurial ecosystem within the SIEED Office & QU Holding. This includes, but is not limited to, joining startups development programs, access for pre-seed grants and other support programs that could lead to the creation of a startup after the PostDoc fellowship project concludes.

The PostDoc will report to the Project Lead PI Dr Mahmoud Abdulwahed Director of SIEED Office, and will work closely under guidance of the Project PI1 Dr Lotfi Belkhir Associate Director for Entrepreneurial Transformation in the SIEED Office, and Project PI2 Dr Khalid Naji Dean of Engineering.

**Essential Functions**

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

- Perform research design
- Lead data collection at home institution
- Lead a data analysis
- Preparing manuscripts for conferences and journals.
- Attending professional conferences and meetings.
- Mange and assist curricular development tasks
- Assist in faculty professional development programs design and delivery related to the project
- Mange project and grant logistics.
- Preparing proposals for internal and external funding.
- Any other assigned tasks and duties

**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. required in Entrepreneurship Education, Technology Entrepreneurship, Engineering or STEM Education, Educational Research, Innovation Management, Business Administration, Social Studies, or closely related field. PhD in STEM domain with demonstrated educational research methods and educational research published work can be considered as well.
- Experience mentoring research assistants or graduate students theses.
- Experience with grant writing for either internal or external funding.
- Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including techniques unique to mixed methods.
- Experience with survey construction and validation.
- Experience teaching using evidence-based teaching practices.
- Experience with teaching-related professional development.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the literature in engineering education, higher education, or educational research methods.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
