Specialist - Business Development

**Description**
**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients and other relevant parties to promote Milaha’s services and develop an ongoing and robust pipeline of new sales opportunities
- Negotiate, prepare, review and close contracts in accordance with commercial and legal procedures and guidelines in order to meet the strategic targets for Milaha Ship Management
- In partnerhsip with the Head of the India office and the VP - Ship Management, develop and monitor strategies designed to ensure the long-term financial viability, profitability and growth of Milaha’s India operations, in particular its potential as a base for third-party deep sea and crew management services
- Develop customized proposals to be presented to potential new customers
- Plan and oversee the integration of new business into our network in conjunction with our Operations teams.
- Track and record activity of new accounts, submit reports and present at meetings.
- Periodically review and suggest adjustments to customer rates in line with market and Milaha’s strategy
- Represent Milaha Ship Management, in conferences and industry events
- Ensure commercial information data collation on inquiries, contracts, competitive information and client information in relevant databases
- Assess and monitor the development of key business components within the sectors that affect business development (e.g. ports, Oil & Gas activity offshore etc.) and manage high level relations with key stakeholders;
- Perform job related duties as assignedigh level relations with key stakeholders;
**Qualifications**
**Education & Professional Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree. Experience in shipping and/or business required
**Professional Experience**:
At least 2 years prior experience in a business development role, or equivalent experience
**Geographic Experience**:
GCC experience preferred but not required
**Computer Skills**:
Excellent presentation, communication, IT and administrative Skills.
**Language Skills**:
Fluent written and spoken business English; Arabic is a plus
**Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge**:
- Advanced knowledge of Tender Management;
- Functional knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
