As Purchasing Officer within QACC, you will be responsible to lead, motivate and develop team of Junior staff members. You will be responsible for overall manpower planning and roster management of the department. Communicating with QACC Transport on asset maintenance issues. You will provide guidance and operational coverage to team of Purchasing Specialists to ensure efficient and effective implementation of purchasing function with full compliance to regulatory framework. Additionally, ensuring that all regulatory and legal requirements that the Purchasing / Procurement maneuverability are met with throughout the business process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate the department's day-to-day manpower requirements and prepares roster to ensure optima coverage to support the business requirements.
- Communicate with QACC Transport on issues pertaining to fleet management to ensure timely and effective maintenance of vehicles as per agreed maintenance schedule.
- Develop new suppliers' base to expand supplier pool while ensuring that legal and regulatory compliance Prepares technical and commercial reports of commodities and services as per line managers request. Ensure strict compliance with internal regulatory framework of Qatar Airways purchasing guidelines and policies.
- Monitor and verify accompanying shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificate of Origin, Halal Certificate, Health Certificates) and etc. to ensure full compliance with relevant Customs, Health Authorities and other external requirements.
- Create, review and modify new items in ERP Master Software.
- Submit request to create new or to modify existing suppliers in Suppliers Master in ERP Software.
- Organize the initiation of PO (purchase orders) for overseas air, sea and truck container shipments. Coordinate in planning the material resource for any products QACC needs to purchase, based on demand (product, quantity, timing, lead times, etc.) together with QACC Planning team.
- Communicate with local and oversea suppliers on order requirement changes (adjustments to shipment delivery schedule, ordered quantities, cancellations and etc.).
- Monitor supplier’s performance and consignment delivery schedules; communicates to suppliers and shipping lines to track containers.

**Qualifications**:

- Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent or Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within catering or food industries
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure
