Qatar Distribution Company is currently recruiting for Duty Manager for Sales & Purchase Department.

Responsible to support and manage all aspects of the business and able to control the activities on all shop operational matters, and permit office. It include forecast and make a significant contribution to maximize sales, minimization of stock losses and revenue generated through customer satisfaction and employee engagement as well as staff development through training activities.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Operational
- Communicate shop sales targets to sales assistant and shop team leaders actively and effectively ensuring all staffs are fully aware of the sales target and motivated to drive sales results.
- Drive and achieve shop sales targets on daily basis by effective deployment of staffs and management of stock.
- With the direction of Unit Manager, recommend and plan promotion monthly target for alcohol and/or special food item, ensuring sales percentage and profit margin are covered during promotional period.
- Liaise with marketing team for marketing promotion according to promotional plan and ensuring operation are fully equipped/prepared for a successful launch of any marketing promotional activities, including tracking and meeting the sales targets.
- Coordinate and check stock movement from warehouse to shop on daily basis ensuring proper stock rotation, full shelves, and high standards of merchandising at any given time to maximize sales and to avoid any damage items.
- Review weekly expiry report, identify outdated stocks or short stocks well in advance, and report to Unit Manager in order to avoid lost in sales.
- Conduct daily operational checklist at every shift ensuring QDC Retail Standards are followed and maintained by all employees at the shop floor, should any incompliance observed, take required actions for future improvement.
- Facilitate & deliver On the Job training with continuous assessment and observation for the team, in order to be align with QDC Training Development Plan. Lead and drive new initiatives to be implemented by team member.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department Customer Service.
- Monitor and manage team service deliver, reinforcing GUEST model in operation ensure excellent customer service is provided to all customers.
- Manage customer feedback/complain and ensure all customer complaint is dealt with quickly & efficiently, and any required action are taken or escalated for higher management attention.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Report any incidents occurred in the operational to Unit Manager, address with complete detail in the timely and efficient manner.

Cash Operations
- Monitor all cash handling operations to ensure full compliance and that all staff conforms to all cash handling security instructions, rules and regulations.
- Report any register problems and ensure correct administration of customer return products & staff sales.
- Verify beginning/end of shift sales report, to ensure completely checked and signed without discrepancies.

Qualifications
- Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level.
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
- Experience in the Retail or Service industry
- Operational knowledge of Retail Environment is important
- Financial knowledge of Cash handling
- Previous use of Word/Excel is essential, while working knowledge of other retail IT systems is must
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
